50 years ago today (Aug 3, 1969) I boarded a blood red Braniff airlines plane from Ft Lewis and later landed at Cam Ramb bay. I still remember seeing the bunkers and constatina wire and thinking this was the real thing not some training exercise. One year later I boarded a Trans World airline plane for my trip back to the world. I'm sure we all remember that feeling of relief as the wheels lifted off the tarmac on the flight home. What airline or ship did you go over on and which brought you back.

Terry,I remember my first and second tours to Vietnam thinking about how it would feel in my way back Home. Each time on the was I thought about the first thought of returning and was happy that I was alive to still remember the first thought.
