Happy New Year!
Here is an update on my book, Call Sign Dracula-My Tour With The Black Scarves April 1969 to March 1970, that was released by Sunbury Press on March 27, 2014. It is a memoir or my one year tour with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion (Black Scarves-Call Sign Dracula), 2nd Infantry Regiment, of the famed 1st Infantry Division, The Big Red One, in Vietnam. Soon it will be four years since the book was released and thousands of copies (paperback and Kindle) have been sold.
Never did I dream that the book would reach world-wide readership as it has been sold not only in the US but in Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Singapore, China, Japan, Brazil and India. At Amazon.com here in the US there are 154 reviews with an average rating of 4.5 stars. In Canada there are 3 reviews with an overall rating of 4 stars. The book is rated as 5 star at Thrift Books here in the US. At Goodreads there are 11 reviews and 210 ratings with an average rating of 4 stars.
I have been fortunate to be able to donate over 500 books to my friends and family, my Vietnam comrades, needy veterans, families of fallen veterans, soldiers currently serving, libraries, military museums, local civic clubs and events, and veteran organizations. I have used proceeds from book sales to donate to Wounded Warriors, the 2nd Infantry Regiment Monument at Fort Benning, GA, and veteran organizations.
I want to thank everyone for your support. Life is good and I am blessed!
