My heart is truly saddened to hear of Johnny Johnson passing. I send my most sincere condolences' to his family and friend's. May The Good Lord give you peace and comfort.November Platoon RTO I never met Johnny. But we had a lot in common, we had the same job in The Nam; and that was RTO'S. Sniper's would pick off the RTO's first. I know that a few did not want to hump that Prick 25. But somebody had to. Johnny and I did just that. Rest in Peace my Black Scarf Brother. You will not be forgotten. Luther Patton Black Scarf Battalion 1/2 Delta Company Recon. 29er Platoon RTO, Point Man Nam June 67' June 68'

I am most thankful I chatted via FB Messenger with Johnny prior to his passing. I had sent him a signed copy of my book Call Sign Dracula hoping to bring him a little bit of cheer. It was most moving to hear from him.
May he RIP and may his family be comforted knowing he was a good solder and a good man. Salute to Johnny. Joe Fair A 1/2 Apr '69 - Mar '70
