Thanks All, Glad to be home. I am also an active member of the VHPA  and the 162nd AHC as I was a pilot my second tour. There is a history between the 162nd and the 2/2 in the days before Mech in Phuch Vin (sp).

They have a great website with photos and history at

Was turned on to this site a few days ago.  Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me or who might have served with me. I remember a few names and have tried over the years to connect with mostly a lack of success.

I'll try and check this site daily

I was in country in June of 1969, not sure of the date assigned to Alpha 2/2.  I was originally assigned to the 1/28 but before I was trucked over I was reassigned to 2/2 after the Black Virgin Mtn battle.  I was in the 4th platoon grunting until Thunder III then I took over the 3rd platoon's 50.

Thanks Broz and The Saint.  Don't think I can make the reunion in May.  I live in MT and have a meeting in Kansas the first part of June.  Kansas may take my available time and money.

I check the board often.I just don,t post much. But I do like reading what everyone has to say. Some times it's refreshing, other times I need higher boots. My biggest problem is trying to figure out who is who when they just don't use there name but use a short cut. But something is better than nothing.

As Jaun said I went with the unit on the tug boat.I was with the unit 64-66
For some reason we don't have to many of us around. If there is they don't seem to make it to the Reunions. But just the same I enjoy seeing all that make it regardless of what year. The main thing is we were all Brothers in the same cause.
