I think this will be Chuck's first time to the regimental affair. I know Chuck from the division reunions and you couldn't have a nicer guy lead us off here!

I hope that some of the troops at Ft Knox, get some free time to attend the reunion of the 2nd Infantry Regiment at Pigeon Forge, TN. I am going to let the Commander know about it, also I am taking some registrations forms for them. |

Dominic, looks like we are going to have some troops coming to the reunion.
Per; conversation with the Commander and the CSM of the 2/2 Bn, I was informed the the days of the reunion are going to be place on the training schedule at Bn level and the word will be send to the Company commanders and 1st Sgt's.
Mission accomplished Bro.

Rumor has it that all first time attendees to this gala event are required to take part in a traditional Southern meal?
I was told that last years meal was Possum (it had been aged on the side of the road for over a week) Grits and Nannar Pudding. I'm on a diet and don't want to break it.

Say, paisan we may have something special for you if you come down ( Tortellini in Brodo) with some road kill that Col. Banner may bring out of that great state of SC. Also your paisan from Florida may bring some Gator rib's and some gator tail fritters.
We need some (covers) from you too, that is if you have enough doubloons to do so. Let me know.

NOTE: Pigeon Forge, TN Reunion Info.
By telephone conversation with the staff of the Norma Dan Motel, Pigeon Forge, TN today.
The Motel will close during the months of January and February for maintenance. The message center will be open, if you call for a reservation, no problem. You can leave the information and the reservation will be made and they will call you back.
The Motel will open for the season about March 5.

My wife, Teresa, and I will attend the reunion again in 2010, unless I am taxed out of all my money. I will for the application after the new year. I am also trying to get my old company commander, CPT Hearn to attend.

Juan has promised some SC possum so I will be attending. Need to get a head count so I will know how many to bring and if anyone gets a "road kill" please feel free to add it to the stew but it needs to be less than 5 days old !!! See y'all in the mountains. |

Glad you are coming. My son will be glad to see you.... I just wonder if any other graduates from the Citadel are coming to join us at the reunion.  .
