This is a call out for all Second Infantry members to send a Get Well Card to Floyd Fenner. He is our oldest World War Two Fifth Infantry Division, Second Regiment surviving member. He was in the hospital for sometime and is now in a Rehab Center. He is doing well, but his daughter Kathy tells me he wants to go home. The days are long and hard on him and a note from his brothers would cheer him up. The address is Marwood Manor and Rehab Center, Attn: Floyd Fenner, Room 128, 1300 Beard Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060.

I went and saw Floyd yesterday and he is doing well. He fell on a water spot at his home and broke his hip. The days are long for him and being home is where he wants to be. His daughter Kathy was with him for lunch and told me the doctors say another five to six weeks. At almost 101 the bone take a long time to mend. I took some photos of the monument and a small chipping from the monument to give to him. He would love to be with us for the memoiral ceremony, but can not travel anymore. Thank you to all who will send cards. Jim
