OK, men.  Your help is needed.  If you've been to to message "Claymore Corners," you know that information is being sought for David Carl Stanley.

To be more specific, a photograph.  Something from Basic Training or AIT (From late September 1966 - Feb. 1967).

If you remember David from Vietnam (he drove the APC and rode the 50Cal for Capt Joseph Rose, Jr.).

They were killed on Sept. 14, 1967 when their APC hit a mine at Claymore Corners.

A PHOTOGRAPH(S) IS BEING SOUGHT.  DAVID STANLEY'S SON WAS ONLY 3 YEARD OLD WHEN HIS DAD WAS KILLED, AND NO ONE IN THE FAMILY HAS ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OF DAVID FROM THAT PERIOD OF HIS LIFE.

So, if you remember David, or know some others that may remember or have photo's, let's get them together.  I've got some 8mm home movies I took in Nam, but the brief shots of David are either shadows or a blur.  By the time I convert them to a digital still image, you wouldn't know it was David unless someone told you.

There's a book out called "ROAD GANG" by H. V. Traywick, Jr., 82nd Airborne trained Capt. In charge of 34th Engr. Bn. Co. "D" Heavy Equipment platoon, some helpful maps with sketching shows what you're looking for, he was in charge of upgrades on rds. 1A& 2A.
