Goodaim and Rock, great to see you posting again! Long time no "see". :-) Looking forward to Phoenix. Have been going through the couch cushions looking for nickels and dimes to add to my vacation fund.

Will tell hubby to keep a close eye on his wallet while we are there. Between some of you all and our kids, think our wallets could be in some serious jeopardy!!

Major hope your having a great holiday and I'll call you before you leave.  Just remember sir my days of packing a 60 and running a D handle shovel are long gone.

However if we could find out where the Duck baried that 10 large I could come out of retirement.

Best re guards to all you and may 06 be the best yet.  Big game of Candy land at my house tonight and I plan to cheat heavily in order to beat my 5 & 7 year old grand kids.

Here's why: The population of this country is 273 million.

140 million are retired. That leaves 133 million to
 do the work.

There are 85 million in school. Which leaves 48 million to do the work.

Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal
government. Leaving 19 million to do the work

2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Osama Bin-Laden. Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work.

Take from that total the 14.8 million people who work
for state and city governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals. Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me.

And there you are sitting on your ass, at your
 computer, reading jokes.

NICE. REAL NICE!

Say fellers, just thought you should all know that 39 years ago today my good friend "The Duck" was unscrupulously shot in the ass while pulling point.

Now I've often wondered over all these years how the point man could be hit in this most embarrassing of spots.  I was in the middle of the same column as hm ( carrying the 60) and all I can remember saying was "OOPS"??????????????

You are my hero Johnny!!

Goodaim, you have to remember that the Flash Man was in the left colum of march and I was behind Flash and Bodnar was behind the Duck when all hell broke lose.  The Flash man was wounded in the right thigh and of Course the poor Duck was shot in the ass.  The day before Feb. 3d Horton was shot through the cheeks of his face, and I think that Avery was wounded in the wrist the same day Horton was wounded.  Tet had just busted wide open and we were engaged in 3 to 4 different firefights in one day, and this went on through the month of Febuary during Tet.

No one was laughing that day, but now 30 some odd years later, can we now laugh

Here is a little note that I wrote down along time ago, and it reads as follows! For Flash The Duck and the rest of us Brothers WAR can wound you in many ways! Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, besides the Superfical wounds that you may recieve, add all four of them together and you have one big ass  wound to heal.

Now if Recon had shot my dick off that night Sgt. Davis triped that flare when Lt. Green and I was going out to the L.P. I WOULD HAVE REALLY BEEN P.0.  It was so close that one of the double 00 SHOT. Shot the button off my jungle fatigues and then went through the button hole and out the other side. yES, WE LAUGHED OUR ASS OFF THE NEXT DAY!

CPT. LOWERY SAID PATTON IF YOU HAD A HARD ON YOU WOULD HAVE LOST IT!

Every One Have a Nice SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!

And God Bless Our Troops In Harms Way and Us To!
