Presidents should have documented Training before competing to become President of our great powerful Worldwide Leading country, for example:a doctor must complete medial school,a airplane Pilot must complete flight school,a teacher must have a degree to teach, You must have a drivers license to lawfully operate a Motor vehicle, You must complete AIT before You can be sent Off to war,You must have and present a ressimay to qualify for specific employment,You must graduate from law Schöol to be a läwyer...but we Vote people into Office without any political expereince to be responsible for our Country...would You let someone operate on You Just because He or she Said that they wanted to without being Qualified?!!!

There are requirements:

No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident ...

Any body who gets enough electors and meets the Constitutional requirements can be president.  Ain't America Great!

John,I fully understand the minimum requirements to be President of the United States as you Just quoted as all American should know, but the magnitude of that supreme Office in my opinion should be held by anyone who have at least recognition educational trained ability of experience in any political Office/enviroment to be responsible for Mass populations of citizens local, national and worldwide...A Person in a mental Hospital or a illiterate person also can meet the current requirements to become president but rational people should not let their emotions Override logical decisions to allow unqualified individuals to perform any critical high Level Job and or Task that they are not skillfully educated for that is my point of View!!!

Although my last post was a little tongue in cheek, it is the only requirement that I believe we need.  We have had good and bad presidents who have served in the military (and who have not served in the military).  We have had very educated presidents who were lack luster and less educated folks who were better presidents.  I fear that if we place too many hurdles to jump, we just may eliminate the person who would be the best president ever.
