While reading the book We Were Soldiers (Once and Young) written by Hal Moore, I came across a page that cited General Westmorelands general order that it will never be mentioned that Red Chinese are invovled in the Vietnam War. A NVA soldier had been taken prisoner during the battle in the I Drang Valley in November 1965 with the 1st Cavalalry Division's 1/7th and 2/7th Cavalry. The NVA soldier reported that each NVA/VC regiment had a Red Chinese Advisier assigned to it.  So Luther as we said, there were Red Chinese in Vietnam during the war, and the report from the First Infantry Division LRRPS that they had seen Red Chinese during their recon with the NVA Regiment that B2/2 Infantry was sent out on 3 April 1968 to confirm was true, and the American public was never told about Red China's intervention in the war.........

Alpha Company 1st Battalion 2nd Infantry Regiment captured a NVA soldier and for sure he was far too big to be a Vietnamese. On page 124 in my book, Call Sign Dracula, there is a photo of the prisoner being escorted to a PZ by Pete Elsos. I tell the story on page 145. I am confident he was Chinese.

CURTIS:  I was with Aco  2-2 in 68 & 69.  And I heard storys  of Red Chinese & Russian Advisers seen numerous times north & west of AN LOC,  north of QUAN LOI, and all around the LOC NINH area.  I heard several times from people I trusted and belived in, that said the Spooks at LOC NINH caught several of them. But I never seen any of them, but I personally believe they were there.

In late 68 I heard a few bodies, larger than you average Vietnamese had been recovered with letters written in Chinese on them West of An Loc. Heard so many 'rumors' of it that I'd figure it was probably true.
