Hi Ryan I served with your father (B36) in the 3rd Plt of B 2/2 Inf under the command of Cpt "Sonny" George Gratzer from 27 Dec 1967-February 1968..Fought the TET Offensive(1 Feb -13 Feb 1968) together (Cpt Gratzer was wounded during TET) together and led the company down Thunder Road"Highway 13 during the dark early morning hour of 1 Feb to the ARNN compound at  Ben Cat that was under attack by VC/NVA fighting our way into the compound under VC/NVA machinegun fire. After TET he left the platoon being replaced by 1LT. Johnson: The Platoon Sergeant was PSG Champaco.  I remember on 1 Feb 1968 me and your father entered a NVA basecamp together after the company came under small armsfire side by side..Your father's Track(APC) was B234 and he was a good Platoon Leader leading his men on S&D operatons, Convoy Security operations, Cordoning the village of Lai Khe in mid Jan 1968, Road Security operations, security patrols around Phu Loi and Lai Khe and taking care of his men. Sorry to know that he passed away so have Cpt Gratzer.
