2nd/2nd Daring Infantry grunts should remember those what we called "Wait A Minute Vines" that during S&D's in the jungle while sitting on top of the Track as you road busting bush would entangle you around your neck pulling you almost off the Track (Or out of the TC Hatch) as the Track moved forward until you or someone else on the Track signaled the Track Driver to stop while you attempted to say-yell "Wait A Minute"......could be/was very funny depending on who the victim was and when, ha, ha, ha...We laughed at one of our 36's(1LT.J) got caught in some "Wait A Minute Vines"...When I was a TC during the Rome Plow operation in May 1968 I also got tangle in some "Wait A Minute Vines" that almost pulled me out of my TC hatch until I could finally call for my driver Campbell to stop the Track, ha, ha, ha......NOLI ME TANGERE

The straight leg infantry battled these damn vines everyday in the bush except when we were in the rubber. I carried an M60 for six months and it had a tendency to catch every vine, limb and bush in my path.

Joe you did bring back a memory also of when dismounted from the Track I humped the M60 Machinegun through the thick jungle and it would get hung up on a Wait A Minute Vine that really pissed me off when we were down in Claymore Corners.....whether on or off the Track the "Wait A Minute Vine" will get the Infantry....Have a nice day....PS:Good picture of you and Roger together at the recent 2nd Infantry Reunion 2017.

Heavy "wait-a-minute" vines could sure slow your progress through the bush when on foot.  One of our folks got tangled with a run of old barbed wire that was caught in the track of an APC and when it whipped, it caught the guy around the neck and really cut him pretty bad.
